Nothing to be done...
I"m beginning to come around to that opinion....
Those are the opening lines to what I believe to be by far the hardest stage performance to date. 'Waiting for Godot'. Epic play of epic proportion that goes absolutely nowhere. We've clocked the play at a little shy of 3 hours and my friend 'Vladimir' and I (Estragon) never leave the stage. The language is complex, the set is very simple and the waiting... oooh, the waiting.
Well, as of my birthday it'll be all over. We've got 2 shows here in town and then 1 in Charlotte. We're discussing doing it in Rupert for a stint in August for the Udderfest Fringe Festival, but not sure if we'll keep it going for that long. A great deal of work involved that's for sure. All in all, glad I did it. Next year, I'm stepping off the stage and going to direct. I have an idea for a play that I may actually write once I'm done this Beckett masterpiece. Soon see.
Well, life is still pretty busy with the job, coaching, cooking, and tending the garden. I finally got all my planting done with the exception of my peas, but the potatoes and lettuce are all done with and the herbs are starting to come into full force. Love the perennials coming around now too. Not too sure what I'd do without this land around me to run naked in the garden.
Well, all for now. Take care and have a good week, summer's a coming. Happy birthday to all my fellow Gemini
